Samsung is set to break new ground when it launches the Galaxy Note 10+ later this year, according to leaked hardware information which emerged recently.
Leaks always need to be treated with a healthy dose of skepticism until official confirmation from the manufacturer is provided. However, it would certainly make sense that much of what has been suggested is indeed being prepared for the final release version of this flagship phablet.
Display delights
First on the list of new components that are worth shouting about is the screen, which will seemingly swamp the entirety of the Note 10+’s front surface and give it an aesthetic that is very similar to that of the Galaxy 10.
One difference between these two devices is that Samsung has chosen to move the location of the front-facing camera to the centre of this upcoming handset, rather than leaving it in one corner as was the case before.
The camera itself is still a punch hole edition, rather than being located within its own notch. This means that while some of the screen real estate is lost, it is a far more discrete selfie snapper than its predecessors.
Information such as the screen’s resolution and size is still unconfirmed, although the Note 10+ should be one of the largest smartphones on the market, with the curved edges of its display also making it one of the most beautiful.
Connectivity & Camera
To prepare customers for the rollout of 5G networks around the world, an edition of the Note 10+ which supports this connectivity will be produced. However, the most widely available version will be equipped with a standard 4G antenna, suggesting that because this new networking technology is only found in limited locations at the moment, it is not a priority for Samsung or its target audience.
This larger edition of the Note 10 will benefit from an enhanced camera setup in comparison with its standard counterpart. Four lenses will sit on the rear surface, rather than three. This will give photography fans cause for celebration, even if most people are still uncertain as to exactly what all of these additional lenses are doing for their photos!
Power
Samsung has often released new versions of its devices with different hardware under the skin in different parts of the world. The Note 10+ is shaping up to be no different, with some regions getting the Snapdragon 855 chipset while others will opt for Samsung’s own Exynos 9825 CPU.
Significant variations in the amount of RAM are also anticipated, with 12GB going to the Qualcomm chip while 8GB will be found onboard the Exynos version.
Performance should be comparable for everyday tasks, given that few mobile apps will actually make the most out of these killer specifications.
Release Date
The official announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ is penciled in for the 7th of August, or at least the current expectation is that an event is scheduled for this date.
The fact that Samsung has managed to salvage the reputation of the Note range after the battery explosion debacle that hit a few years ago is impressive. However, with the failure of the Galaxy Fold earlier this year after faults in the design were revealed, it may be wise for customers to consider mobile phone insurance if they plan on picking up the Note 10 or 10+. This will mean that even if flaws arise after the warranty has expired, protection from steep repair bills will be available and other challenges can be dealt with as and when they occur.
